Netball Alberta Residency Concludes with Scholarships

The Netball Alberta residency last week, funded by Woodlands School Council, was a great active living experience for all.  To conclude the residency, and to keep the enthusiasm for the sport going, Netball Alberta is excited to offer a special initiative aimed at fostering the love for netball among young talents.

As part of our commitment to promoting inclusivity, providing opportunities, and nurturing potential, they are introducing the Netball Alberta School Clinic Scholarship. This scholarship is a token of appreciation for the enthusiasm and energy Woodlands School brought to their netball program.

About the Scholarship

The Netball Alberta School Clinic Scholarship is redeemable for one free season of Junior Programming at Netball Alberta. Our Junior Program, designed for ages 9-14, is crafted to not only impart the skills and techniques of netball but also to instil a sense of teamwork, sportsmanship, and a lifelong love for the game.

We will share the scholarship with the first two families of a student in Grade 4-6 that respond to woodlands@cbe.ab.ca expressing interest and a commitment to the free season of junior programming at Netball Alberta.  Thanks to everyone for your interest, but we will respond only to the first two families.

Bell Times Adjustment and Transportation for 2025-26

Alberta Education’s School Transportation Amendment Regulation means the travel distance (1.6 km for K-6) must now be calculated by the driving distance from a student’s home to the front door of the school. Changes to walk zones across the CBE have resulted in school bell time adjustments to accommodate increased in transportation.
