School Planning Engagement Results
Thanks to all parents for your feedback around school planning for the School Development Plan and Budget and Fees for 2025-26. The results are available on our website using the link above. We will also discuss this at our School Council meeting on April 16.
Bell Times Adjustment and Transportation for 2025-26
For the 2025-26 school year, the CBE will be expanding yellow bus service and adjusting walk zones. This is in response to School Transportation Amendment Regulation for student transportation that comes into effect on Sept. 1, 2025. It is the provincial government's intent to increase the number of students who can access transportation by changing the transportation eligibility distance and how the distance is measured. When changes are made to yellow bus transportation, it has an impact on bell times for schools. That’s because bell times are directly connected to transportation. Aligning bell times across schools makes transportation more efficient, allowing each bus to run multiple routes. This creates a reliable transportation system, ensuring students get to school safely, on time and ready to learn.
For the 2025-26 school year, the bell times for Woodlands School will be:
Morning | Afternoon | Early Dismissal |
8:35 AM | 3:07 PM | 12:40 PM |
Bell times were reviewed across the system to ensure students receive the required instructional hours while maintaining time for breaks, transitions and extracurricular opportunities.
We expect to receive information about students who are eligible for bus transportation later in April. When this is released by the CBE, families will be able to register their student for fee-based bus transportation, through their MyCBE account. The due date for bus registration is expected to be May 6. Once the registrations are complete and the system has the number of riders, bus routes are released in August.

Parking Lot | Safety Issue
Please DO NOT drop-off or pick-up students in the staff parking lot. Pulling up to the main doors and then backing out of the lot is dangerous for both you and our students. Please give yourself adequate time for pick-up and drop-off along Woodgreen Drive or the public parking lot across the street, even if you are late. Students are reminded to walk around the parking lot area – not through it!
