The students in grades 1 to 4 will be participating in a City of Calgary Swim to Survive program as part of our Physical Education and Wellness program at Canyon Meadows Pool.
The program takes place on April 8 to April 12 inclusive.
By the end of the in-water sessions, your child will have developed swimming skills that will provide them with an active start with water safety. They will gain knowledge to allow them to make safe choices when participating in activities in, on and around the water and ice, and the necessary self-rescue skills to survive an unexpected fall into deep water.
Students need to have a swimming suit, a towel, and a bag for wet items.
Thank you to the Parent Council who has paid for the cost of the buses for these trips. The cost for the swim program is $30.05 per student. This is payable through your MyCBE account on or before April 8. Please complete the Swimming Ability Form and the “Acknowledgement of Risk Form” and return to your child’s teacher by March 20.
